    Announce it

Post the cover with "pre-save now". Use the countdown graphic from the Share tab and put the link in your bio.

  2. 27 days before

Make a link for each placement

Create /ig, /tiktok and /bio variants so you can see which post actually brings pre-saves.

    Pitch to Spotify's editors

In Spotify for Artists, pitch the release for editorial playlists. Spotify needs it at least 7 days before release; earlier gives the editors more time.

  4. 3 weeks before

    Post a teaser clip

Pick 15 seconds of the hook or drop and droplr renders the video on the Clip tab — artwork moving on the kick, your link on it. Post it just before your fans' busiest hour.

  5. 2 weeks before

Send it to DJs, blogs and playlist curators

A short personal message plus the pre-save link and a private stream. Ten personal emails beat a hundred copy-pastes.

Tell fans who opted in to news

Filter the Fans page to news opt-ins and export them for your newsletter tool. Only those fans agreed to hear about new releases.

    Countdown: 7 days

Post the countdown story graphic. Reply to every comment and share fan reposts.

    Behind the scenes

A studio clip, the story behind the track or a DJ set moment. Gives fans a reason to share it before it's out.

  9. 1 day before

    Check every store link

Add Beatport, Bandcamp, SoundCloud or YouTube Music if you have them. The Links tab shows which stores fans picked that still have no link.

  10. Release day

    Release day: out now

Post the Out now graphic at your fans' busiest hour. droplr emails every pre-saver at 9am in their own timezone, so you don't have to.

    Thank the fans

Share a pre-save milestone graphic and repost fans who shared it.

    Fill in late store links

Some stores go live a day or two later. Add anything still missing so the smart link covers everyone.

  13. 1 week after

    Do that again

Analytics shows which placement converted best, which hour and which country. The point isn't to read it — it's to repeat the one that won, this week, while the track is still new.

  14. 2 weeks after

    Pitch user-curated playlists

Spotify's editors only take unreleased tracks, so that door has closed — but curators who run their own playlists want songs that already have plays. Send the smart link, not a file.

  15. 3 weeks after

If you ran a store exclusive, check the window

A Beatport or Traxsource exclusive is usually two to four weeks. Once it's done, add the other stores so the smart link stops sending fans somewhere they can't buy it. Settings shows the window you set.

  16. 4 weeks after

    Open a remix contest

Put the stems up and let producers enter with a link to their own upload. It gives you a second release out of the same track, a public page of entries, and a list of artists who now know your name.

  17. 60 days after

It's still new to most people

Nobody who hasn't heard it knows it's two months old. Repost the clip or a lyric card with the same link — the page is a smart link now, so it still works.

This is the plan every droplr release gets

In the dashboard it sits on the release, moves when the date moves and ticks off as you go. These happen without you:

  • Finds Apple Music, Deezer, Spotify and TIDAL links from the UPC/ISRC, daily before release and hourly after
  • Switches the page from pre-save to smart link at midnight in each fan's timezone
  • Emails every pre-saver at 9am their time on release day, leading with the store they picked
  • Saves to Spotify libraries for your allowlisted VIPs when it unlocks for them
  • Counts views, clicks and pre-saves by source, country, device and hour

Some steps and some of these need a paid plan. Pricing says which.
